Bible reading: Revelation 4
Heaven seems like an awesome place. A place of no pain, tears or sorrow. We will all have bodies like Christ. I don’t believe its farfetched to think we could fly or appear in different places like Jesus after His resurrection did. Without having to work, earn money, and take care of others in Heaven what will we do there? I believe this passage gives us some insight.
1. We will enter the throne room
Revelation 4:2 (KJV)
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
Numerous song are written about when we see his face… Oh I want to see him look upon his face…Oh what a moment, when we see Jesus….I can only image. When we get to heaven, I believe our #1 desire will be to be with our Savoir. Oh what a thought, to be with the Savior with no time constraint. I imagine it will be a long time before we leave the presence of the throne.
2. We will witness true worship.
Revelation 4:8-11
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Oh what an amazing sight in be in heaven in the presence of the savior watching this amazing demonstration. The whole desire of everyone present is to lift and magnify Jesus Christ. I have been in some amazing revivals, services and prayer meetings; But I can only imagine what it will be like surrounded by millions of believers praising the savoir together. Imagine a choir 1,000,000 strong singing Amazing Grace. Not only will we be able to see him, but we will witness the wounds that he still has that purchased our redemption.
How does this apply to me today?
We can contribute to the worship in heaven now.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Of all those praising God in heaven, He is listening to us. He longs to hear our voice. Today, let’s make Heaven a little louder today with each of us verbally and unashamedly praising our Savior.
