I AM PERSUADED THAT HE IS ABLE:

TO REWARD YOUR FAITH (part 5)

Matthew 9:27-31
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened……

Now the second part of the story. As always, if you will do your part, God will do His. Jesus first gives THE REMEDY. Jesus asked a question” believe ye that I am able?”. Faith was required for this miracle. Faith is required in our life also.

* Hebrews 6:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Jesus knew He was able to heal these men. The disciples of Jesus knew that He was able to heal these men. Jesus just needed to know that these men believed Jesus was able to do it. Jesus does not require ability, talent, or perfection, but Jesus does require faith.

Secondly, Jesus then brings THE RESTORATION. The Bible says “their eyes were opened”. The restoration was given after their faith was displayed. “Open” is the same word “open” as used in:

* Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

It is amazing the doors that God will open when God sees faith in our lives. Prayers are answered because of faith. Miracles are performed because of faith. We even see that blinded eyes were opened because of faith.

The Bible says that after Jesus performed this miracle, these two men told everyone what Jesus did.

* 31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

Faith brought the miracle but witnessing spread the gospel. May we not just be content with the miracle, may we be faithful to tell others about the ONE that did it.
