I AM PERSUADED THAT HE IS ABLE:

TO REWARD YOUR FAITH (part 1)

Matthew 9:27-31
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened……

These two men had many things stacked against them. Obstacles had become part of their everyday life, but just a little faith can overcome big obstacles. Let’s take a look:

THEIR DILEMMA
These two men were “blind”. I admit that is quite a dilemma. Maybe you have a DILEMMA today in your life. Your DILEMMA might involve your family, job, marriage, addiction, illness, or even finances. I am sure being blind certainly wasn’t something they wanted or asked for. Being blind was not their fault. This was a DILEMA that no one could understand unless they went through it themselves.

THEIR DETERMINATION
The Bible said they “followed him”. I am sure it wasn’t easy to follow. Crowds followed Jesus and crowds were hard to get through. I mean they couldn’t see, they were blind, and it is not like there was much seeing impaired corrections done to roads or buildings in those days. As difficult as this was, much worse than being blind physically is to be blind spiritually. The most important thing was who they followed, they followed “Him”. I am sure some folks criticized, complained, and maybe even some ridiculed. I am sure some said, “what a waste of time”. I encourage you, don’t let mouthy people get in your way. Be determined to follow Christ. Please don’t let critical people, hypocritical, self-righteous, negative, ridiculing people keep you from the reward of following Jesus.

There may be some things, or “dilemmas”, that are making it difficult to get where you need to be spiritually. Maybe there is a lot of things in the way. Be determined to get through them, and past them to get to Jesus.
