Galatians 2:21 (KJV)
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
What is God doing? What he is trying to accomplish in situations? I cannot say how many times I have wondered these questions recently. It feels like our nation is in running 100 miles per hour yet hitting red light after red light. I believe God knows and understands our frustrations. He even understands when we have questions. I love this verse, Galatians 2:21. It reminds me of a few things. 1. No matter what my questions are I do not frustrate God. His ways are higher than ours. He sees the who plan while I only see a fraction of it. He is in the process of making us like him. In the process of purifying there is an application of heat. God may be turning up the heat in order to change us. From our perspective things cannot be going more wrong, but from Gods perspective everything is right on time. 2. Grace is apparent in every situation in life. We can see God’s grace is evident in our lives when we look around and see the things God has given us, we do not deserve. From salvation to all the blessing God has given us its clear God has not forgotten us. God has not hidden himself from us. He has not left us. It is quite the contrary, He has made himself available to us. His desire to walk closely with us has never waned.
If you are frustrated, disappointed or fearful of what is happening in your world right now, remember that God’s grace is still surrounding you. He is working out His plan for your life. Lastly, if we draw close to Him, He will give us the peace we so strongly desire.
