I AM PERSUADED THAT HE IS ABLE

TO SHOW US THE WAY (part 2)

JOHN 14:5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

– IF YOU REMOVE CHRIST FROM SOCIETY YOU HAVE COMMUNISM
– IF YOU REMOVE CHRIST FROM SCIENCE YOU HAVE CONFLICT
– IF YOU REMOVE CHRIST FROM SCRIPTURE YOU HAVE A CULT
– IF YOU REMOVE CHRIST FROM SINNERS YOU HAVE NO HOPE

HOW CAN I BE SATISFIED?
Jesus answers, “I am….the life”
This is the Hebrew word “Dzo-ay” which means “life, to quicken, as an immortal soul as opposed to plants, etc”. So, God gives:

1. Quickened life – Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in
trespasses and sins;
2. Quality life – John 10:10 I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly.
3. Qualified life – John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and
the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There is no real life apart from Christ. The Christian life is not just about where we are going, it is also about what we do with our lives on the way there. We Christians need to quit walking around as if we are miserable, dissatisfied, and unhappy. Jesus is the “Life”. He is not the death, not the misery, but the “Life”.

– HE’S THE WAY. THAT’S FOR LOST PEOPLE
– HE’S THE TRUTH. THAT’S FOR LEARNED PEOPLE
– HE’S THE LIFE. THAT’S FOR LONGING PEOPLE

WE WERE BORN WITH ETERNAL EXISTENCE, BUT GOD GIVES ETERNAL LIFE!

* Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the
righteous into life eternal.

Jesus was able to show Thomas the way, and in so doing, He is showing us the way. The point is, Jesus is the Way. Everything you need is Him. Stop trying to find the way,
