Today’s reading
Psalm 75
Psalm 75:7 KJV
[7] But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Take a moment to read Psalm 75 and let’s look at a few truths from it.
Since the beginning of time and government every king, every president, every governor, every politician and leader they come and they go. They’re replaced. Sometimes we’re happy to see them replaced sometimes we aren’t but none of them rule forever. There is only one constant everywhere and in every place and verse 7 gives us that constant. “God is the judge” Scott Pauley says a lot that “God rules the good, and overrules the evil.” I love that quote. That is the great message of Psalm 75. We read that it is God and God alone who puts people in position of leadership and it is God who removes them. Think about this thought with me That one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father! Won’t that be a wonderful day? He is the true and righteous judge.
We can get caught up in politics and who we’re going to vote for and I don’t like this politician because of what he said or did, but God is in charge! He never left the throne for one minute. There has never been a time when He wasn’t in complete control.
Take comfort today Child of God! Our hope isn’t in a candidate or a party our hope is in the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord’s the omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent Judge!
