I AM PERSUADED THAT HE IS ABLE:
TO NEVER MAKE A MISTAKE (part 3)
Numbers 23:19 “ God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:”
Ok, I have one more thing to emphasize from this phrase. We have established that God never lies, that He will never have to admit wrongdoing, and that He is not just a man, or even the son of a man. He is perfect. Thank God for all of these principles.
However, it would be a shame to not fully apply the main point of this to our everyday life.
So what is the main point?
It is the peace, the calm, the security, and the confidence we can have every day that God will not make one mistake in our lives. Whatever He allows, whatever He does, and for whatever His reason, we can trust Him. Man is only able to see certain things, but God is not a man so He is able to see all things. Man is limited in our ability to understand motives, circumstances, dangers, and perspective; but God is not limited so He understands all things.
We can face this day, and every day with the assurance that God will never have to look back and admit that He made a mistake in my life, your life, or anyone else’s life. We can believe His Word, because He does not lie. We can trust His ways, because He does not make mistakes.
You may find yourself this day in a situation that you do not understand. You might be doubting God‘s love for you, His willingness to help, or even that He notices or cares at all. In your opinion, it may appear that a mistake has been made. That apparently God did not notice something, or understand something. Or that for some unknown reason, God has put you through something that you feel you should not have to go through. You feel that no one else seems to understand, and now you feel that even God does not understand. If we are honest, we all would have to admit that we have been there. But we also have to understand that throughout history, God has not yet made one mistake and He is probably not going to start with you. Why would God risk His deity, His sovereignty, and His perfection on our little problem.
